NOONBARRA KAYLA

(Noonbarra Dusty III X Capree Dyna)

Black & Tan Female    Born: 12th September 2001

Owned by Fiona Mc Cure of Victoria.

Noonbarra Kayla was sold as a companion dog to Fiona in Melbourne. Fiona had already seen Noonbarra Tally owned by Sam and Anthea in Melbourne.

"We have started with another dog obedience school to keep Kayla up with her training and for socialising with other dogs. She loves it and is doing wonders. I must say I enjoy the time learning with her also...and its great to see her having fun as well. There is another Kelpie in the group that we found only lives 2 streets away from us. Bella - is only 3 days older than Kayla and the get on great guns. .... We went for a long walk on the weekend along the rail trails through melb. On the way home we stopped at a cafe and our friends were impressed at how behaved Kayla was " - Fiona, Melbourne Victoria.

NOONBARRA KAYLA AT 5 MONTHS

Noonbarra Kayla is owned by Fiona in Melbourne.

Things are going great here....Kayla turned one in September as you are probably well aware, and I have some photos of her around that time. She has grown up a lot in the last few months...but you can still see so much puppy-ness in her.

Things are going great here....Kayla turned one in September as you are probably well aware, and I have some photos of her around that time. She has grown up a lot in the last few months...but you can still see so much puppy-ness in her...its still like having a toddler around the house. She keeps everyone in the family on their toes.....and as soon as the house is quiet....we are all looking for Kayla knowing she is up mischief somewhere....nothing ever too bad.

We have had a bit of a bad run the last month or say....my dad was diagnosed with cancer. He has been bed-ridden for about a month now, and I don't think he would have coped as well without Kayla. Its weird but you can tell that she knows something is up...especially when we first found out and we were all quiet around the house. She wasn't as active as she usually is and didn't mind just sitting on her mat with all of us, especially sitting in next to dads bed. She hasn't jumped on the beds before (actually she is not allowed in any of our bedrooms, and even when we are in there, doesn't walk in past the doorway...), but it was a picture to see when she saw dad for the first time in a few days after his opp (he was in bed).....her whole body started to shake with excitement....and she leaped on the bed and gave dad a big sloppy kiss.....it was quite amusing...and it brought a smile to dads face.

Nov 2006

Hi Mary & Stephen, just giving you a long time over-due update with Noonbarra Kayla.

Well - she turned 5 in September, an she is now a beautiful dog (not that she wasn't beautiful and much more before).

Things are going great and Kayla participates with whatever we are doing whenever possible. I love taking her to parks off lead now and just walking knowing that she is always there with me. I can't let her off around home though except in our street, there is too much traffic and I just don't trust the cars!

In the last year or two Kayla has really taken to swimming in a big way - and now we can't stop her running into the water even if we tried....

As you can see by some of the photos, she has turned into what I call my 'pin-up dog'....I think there are more photos of Kayla around the house now than anyone else in the family.!

Well - not much else to tell you....just wanted to say hi and thank-you very much for giving us our special gift of Kayla!
