NOONBARRA KELPIE STUD

NOONBARRA TALLY

(Noonbarra Dusty III X Noonbarra Gabby III)

Born: Dec. 26th 2000

Noonbarra Tally was sold to Anthea and Sam who live in Melbourne in Victoria. She was a pretty puppy who loved to be with you. Her owners have taken her to obedience school and spent many hours training her to be a lovely well mannered dog.

If someone offered me a million dollars for her she wouldn't be for sale, I love her very much and I'm pretty sure the way she looks at me that the feeling is mutual. Sam, Victoria Australia.

"Well it is official I am now the 2nd most important thing is Sam's life, Tally is stunning and I see what Mary means when she says Tally has a look that melts your heart. she is everything we expected and much more thanks again." - Anthea

Tally as a puppy

I am quite surprised at how quickly she can pick things up. I can see that she will turn out to be a beautiful dog when mature, she has a lovely nature and everyday she is learning more that I am the Alpha dog and her guiding light.

Every morning when I wake up she is in there waiting for me, yawning and stretching as she gets up. We have had no accidents in the house Her learning ability even surprises me and now that she has started obedience I can see further improvement in her every day."

We have just been talking on the phone to Sam in Victoria with Noonbarra Tally. She has just been to puppy school and was the best in the class (we expect no less) and he and Anthea are able to put her on a Down - Stay command for a quite a while now even with distractions and walk a little distance from her.

They even had her on a Down-Stay' near them while they phoned. They said when Tally went to Puppy School they were surprised that many of the other puppies there were out of control and their owners had no idea of handling them.

Tally is adjusting very well to their two cats and one cat gets on with her so well already that they found Tally lying against her and licking her and the cat purring. The other cat is not quite as taken with Tally yet. All in all Tally is progressing really well with no problems. We should give them their credit though, they have put in a lot of time and energy and even hired a person to take Tally on long walks with other dogs twice a week when they are not home.

They often take her out for walks and she has been to parks, shopping trips and playing with ducks at the lake. They are taking her to the beach today for the first time so she should have an exciting day.

Sam and Anthea are doing really well with Tally. They said they have read the puppy folder and are being firm with their commands. Sam also said that the more firm they are with her the happier she seems to be. It is great that they understand this as most of our customers take months (and some never) to work that out. They make up her dinner each night and then sit down and have their own dinner and don't allow her to beg at the table. After their dinner they feed her. They said she has a lovely personality and now all their friends and family want to baby sit her.

Letter April 2001

"We have a number of venues to take her for walks and I have now got her to heal very well on a loose lead, I am quite surprised at how quickly she can pick things up. She still has her moments when she wants to take charge but these are becoming rarer everyday."

Tally as you can see is growing up before our eyes but I can see that she will turn out to be a beautiful dog when mature, she has a lovely nature and everyday she is learning more that I am the Alpha dog and her guiding light.

Every morning when I wake up she is in there waiting for me, yawning and stretching as she gets up. We have had no accidents in the house and I feel that she is now house trained although I will not slacken on this at all. Her learning ability even surprises me and now that she has started obedience I can see further improvement in her every day."

All I keep saying to Anthea is that Tally is the best present I have ever received and that if someone offered me a million dollars for her she wouldn't be for sale, I love her very much and I'm pretty sure the way she looks at me that the feeling is mutual. - Sam,Victoria Australia.

"Tally was a star again at the Puppy class on Sunday, she is used to demonstrate lots of the exercises, they keep asking if she is 6 months old yet so they can put her in Class 1. We taught her to shake last week and she has no hesitation. I think we will have to think up other things to teach her."

Tally when she visited the Noonbarra stud for 2 weeks in August/Sept. 2002

Even though she lives in the city she still had the natural inherited ability to round up the sheep when she stayed at the Noonbarra Stud in 2002

Nice wide outrun on the sheep

After all that hard work she needed a well deserved drink from the sheep trough

"We keep being reminded of all your good work with her and how lucky we are
to have got her from you, I think the other parents in class are envious of
all the after sales care we are receiving."

Well its the Christmas season already, hard to believe.   Everything is going very well with us.  Tally continues to be a happy dog, she goes to work with Sam everyday and seems to enjoy it, infact on the weekends she waits by the door to get into the truck.  Daisy goes in the truck once or twice a week she is not as keen as Tally.    Sam makes a delivery to Werribee Park Mansion and there is a  mob of sheep that Tally takes great delight in chasing up and down the fence while Sam delivers the wine.
